Supply Chain Planning Consultant

Typical Job Responsibilities Include
The main focus will be on providing analytical support to clients and internal project teams, with a focus on supply chain planning and optimization. Typical responsibilities will include;
Support and manage the implementation of supply chain planning tools and software, including demand forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, production planning, and inventory optimization.
Lead and participate in meetings with current and potential clients.
Capture and analyze customer business and planning requirements.
Work collaboratively to determine optimal solution design.
Perform solution configuration and testing and support customers through User Acceptance Testing.
Train the customer to become proficient and self-sustaining in their customized software solution.
Exporting and cleansing raw data sets from client databases and ERP systems.
Analyzing data sets and building reports in Tableau, Powder BI, and PowerPoint, to meet customer specific requirements.
Utilize data analytics tools and supply chain optimization tools support clients.
Other roles/responsibilities may include:
Support the development of software tools and processes.
Conduct research and stay up-to-date on the latest trends and innovations in the supply chain and material handling world and working with third party vendors/providers.
Support warehouse optimization and supply chain strategy project teams.
The Ideal Candidate
Is a graduate of a top university with a degree in engineering, math, computer science, or another technical discipline.
Has 1-3 years of experience in a relevant industry (supply chain planning, demand and inventory planning, software implementation, or consulting).
Is proficient in the MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
Has experience with programming languages like SQL and visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
Has experience working with WMS/ERP systems and/or supply chain optimization and planning software.
Has basic knowledge of project planning tools.
Has impressive communication skills and is comfortable presenting to high-ranking members of the client team about logical, unbiased, highly-analytical findings and recommendations.
Has a positive, can-do attitude, the ability to work independently and without direction and is eager to learn new things and be exposed to different industries.
Is comfortable with 0-25% travel, depending on the project requirements, and wants to live and work in New York City.
Feels at home in both corporate office buildings and production environments.
