Methodology
Communication Plan: Determine the communication strategy and create, maintain, and follow up on a comprehensive list of tasks.
Service Requirements: Work with key stakeholders and the 3PL to develop the formal business requirements for the services to be provided and ensure all specifications are captured.
IT Integration Management: Manage the IT integration process of identifying data sources and destinations, defining data exchange and integration format (EDI, API, manual), relating the operation procedures with the needed systematic requirements, and defining the reporting needs.
Testing: Document all tested functionalities and scenarios and communicate the testing feedback and results in a structured manner to key stakeholders.
Physical Move Planning: Develop a transition plan that includes the transfer strategy, timing and cost estimation, and communicate with the 3PL and internal stakeholders.
Physical Move Execution: Manage the actual performance of the physical move, overseeing the picking, transportation and receiving of goods to ensure proper execution.
Physical Move Cleanup: Manage the decommissioning of the incumbent facility to ensure all product and owned equipment are transferred and that there is no outstanding inventory.
Go-live Operations Management: Provide on-site presence and oversee the initial go-live operations to ensure processes are being followed and the operation and systems are functioning.
